Monetary Donations

In order to make art and the Appalachian Puppet Pageant accessible to all of our community, regardless of financial means, this parade and all of the workshops leading up to it will be entirely free and open to all.  Cattywampus is also mentoring several local community groups to help them build creations for the parade, offering free art supplies and and one-on-one support.

This year’s parade is in part funded by the Tennessee Art Commission, the Aslan Foundation, Three Rivers Market, and the City of Knoxville, but we are still in need of additional funds to bring this magical, beautiful event to life. A financial gift from you would be an enormous help in reaching our goal and would enable us to involve as much of our community as possible in the project. No donation is too small.

Cattywampus Puppet Council is a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Tennessee and is fiscally sponsored through Community Shares.  If you aren’t concerned with deducting this donation from your taxes, you are welcome to give directly to the parade here:

Otherwise, please contact us at cattywampuspuppetcouncil@gmail.com to learn how to make a tax-deductible gift to the parade.

Materials Donations

In addition to monetary donations, we are also in need of material donations. We are currently in need of the following:

  • Acrylic Paint
  • Low VOC housepaint
  • Fabric (preferably larger pieces of lighter weight synthetic fabrics, such as nylon or polyester in a variety of colors)
  • Bamboo
  • External backpack frames
  • Brown paper bags
  • Newspaper
  • Masking Tape

If you are interested in making a donation of any of the above, please email Cattywampus at cattywampuspuppetcouncil@gmail.com to arrange a time to drop these off at their studio.
